Preventative Maintenance...
HOURLY CHECK-UPS
These ensure engine longevity. Have your engine serviced after 20 Hours of
running; THE 20 HOUR CHECK.
Continue with the 100 HOUR CHECK AND THE 200 HOUR CHECK to get the
most from your motor.
WATER PUMP IMPELLER REPLACEMENT
Impellers should be replaced at least every 2 years, however if you are
operating in shallow water, or if the water is sandy you should replace the
impeller every year.
WINTERIZATION
Winterizing is a very important preventative maintenance. Our technicians
are certified to winterize all makes and models of engines. Winterizing helps
to prevent the motor from freezing.
DE-CARBONIZING
Carbonizing occurs though the combustion process; this can potentially
cause several problems including internal damage. The most common is loss
of power, inconsistent idle, and internal motor damage. Two strokes are the
most susceptible to this. We can treat your engine so that de-carbonizing will
prolong the engines life. We recommend that you have your engine
de-carbonized every 100 hours. Those of you that run your engine in
idle most of the time or use a low quality of paraffin based oil are more
susceptible.
